New Photo Gallery – Santa Fe Architecture
Hi Everyone! First, thanks so much for the wonderful reception for those cheeky little holiday photos yesterday. Truly appreciate it. It was a lot of fun taking those images. (:
One note on that — WordPress was in a strange mood yesterday; it said that I posted my final post 8 hours earlier than I actually did, so it appears second in the series of the three posts for yesterday, instead of third. So if you missed that one (the spider one), you can see it here.
On to today — I’m taking it a bit easy, and I’m showing you what I’ve been working on for the last couple of weeks — images for a gallery that highlight my professional work with architecture/real estate/vacation homes. These photos were taken mostly in Santa Fe, New Mexico (some in Albuquerque), so it will show the architectural styles around here, which may be interesting to some. I do adore taking photos of contemporary houses, so there’s a goodly representation of those type of properties also, and some of the best architects and builders in town are represented in these photos too.
If you’re interested, you can click here for the full gallery of photos, and in the mean time, here’s a small taste.

Gorgeous gallery Katie. Thanks for sharing your gift with us!
Thanks, Charleen! I truly appreciate your feedback! Glad you liked the photos.
Absolutely gorgeous!
I am going to look at the full galery
Ah, thank you, Kristina!
Brilliant and different architecture.
Now, I’ll check the entire gallery.
Just checked it! My God, they are brilliantly AWESOME. Those places must be quite expensive. Totally gorgeous. Dream-home
Thank you!!! What a compliment, Nandini! I truly appreciate it. They are expensive homes. I like really interesting architecture, so that’s why I picked these photos. Wanted some great interior design also. My favorite builder has a couple homes in here. And yes, DREAM HOME!
Thanks, Nandini! I really love seeing different types of architecture, and some of these homes are from the annual Parade of Homes that showcases the best of the best that Santa Fe has to offer. I’m the official photographer for them. It’s so much fun to see the newest and best.
Official photographer?! That’s absolutely fantastic. You deserve it, I must say.
Please keep posting/updating this gallery.
Yep, official. I’ve been their photographer for like six years now.
I love working with these fantastic builders and every year it’s nice to see them again and see the houses; some truly great architecture. I have a zillion more photos, as you’d guess.
Thanks so much for liking these, Nandini!
Terrific Shots I really like the interior ones of the modular home. So simple, and bright. You could really make money with shots like that. You might consider stock photography.
So glad you like the photos, Tobias! Which shots are of a modular home? I didn’t think I ever shot one of those.
Thanks for the suggestion!
The kitchen seems very modular, I don’t know if that may have been the best distinction. Though.
Thanks for clarifying thing. Actually, I’d guess all of these houses were custom designed, so I don’t think it was modular, at least in the sense that I know.
Thanks again for your comments.
Nice!
Thank you!
Nice work. Some great shots in this gallery. And technically very good, you obviously know what you’re doing.
Thank you.
Wow! Katie…very nice!
Ah, thank you, Roberta.
You’re so talented! One of the best photographers in Santa Fe.
Ah, thanks, Adrienne, and what a compliment, as I know you have seen more than your share of architectural photos for Santa Fe!
Thank you so much. Feel free to pass that gallery on to anyone who might be interested.
Did you meet Luke Skywalker?!
Amazing shots, as always. Liked the one with the brown, out-of-earth-look.
LOL! Do you mean the brown one with the circular front–that exterior shot? That house won some awards this year in the Santa Fe Parade of Homes.
Thanks for you comment!
Wonderful photographs, and I loved these houses. Thank you dear Katie, with my love, nia
Ah, so glad you liked seeing the houses, Nia.
Handsome image, beautifully lit and professional.
Thank you! I’m a professional photographer, so yep.
Thanks for your comment and visiting my blog.
Beautiful collection of photos! The architecture in your area is just stunning! You captured it well.
Thank you so much, Jenna! I tried to show some great architecture.
What a gorgeous home! I spent time in AZ this summer and truly appreciate the beauty of their architecture.
Ah thank you!
Glad you had some time in Arizona too. And thanks for stopping by my blog.
You have a nice portfolio of work! Great images, well thought out and shot. Keep up the wonderful job!!
Thanks, Steve!
Oh that kitchen looks amazing. I can’t stop looking at it. These photos were just inspirational
Ah glad there is one there that you love! Thanks, Kay!
Fabulous!!! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much!
Wonderful photo compositions in your Architectural Gallery. Love the angles and colour too. Easy to see why you specialise in Architecture & Interiors – you’re very talented in portraying them.
Thank you, Victoria. I’m glad you can see all that, and have a appreciation for the work it takes to take photos of Architecture/Interiors. Thank you so much!
Congratulations on your Versatile Blogger Award! Please check out my latest post for your blog review and acceptance steps. Congrats again and thank you so much for participating. It’s been an honor to spend some time meandering through your posts.

Katie – the images are wonderful!! I love the buildings and lighting and scenes there. You capture them perfect!! Great work!!
Best Regards
Jim
Thanks, Jim! I truly appreciate your kind words about my professional work!
it does take a lot of effort to get these shots.
I’m sure you know that.
I like not only the architectural photography (a real talent), but I also like the way you did the slide show presentation. Well done. This Chaotic Soul template has been the format I’ve used for my blog for almost 3 and 1/2 years. It really makes the photos stand out!
Thanks, Kate! The only things I’m not sure about Chaotic Soul, is I wish the column could be wider, and I wish when you search posts, it would show the photo in the results. Other than that, Love it!
Thanks for your nice comment on my architectural photography.
Great…great…great! It’s like I’m watching the Grand Designs TV Program where I like the interior and exterior of the buildings.
Thanks, Katie!
What a compliment! Thank you so much, Inge! So glad you enjoyed the images! I work hard on them!
Your architectural photographs are wonderful. All of your skills come together in these images. They are technically beautiful but what catches me is their use of light and composition. I look forward to seeing more of your architectural work in the future. You bring out the best of Santa Fe within them.
Thank you so much, Douglas! I truly appreciate your comment on my architecture photos, as I can tell you know how much work it takes to get shots like these. Composition is the highest thing to me, and lighting of course too. I like natural lighting and of course in a place where it’s almost always sunny, it’s hard shooting interiors. Thanks again for your comment! And thanks too for visiting my blog.
