Photography as Abstract – Shark in Ice
Here’s another of the abstracts I’ve been doing. If you want to see the other images/posts in the series, please click here and here.
When it was colder in Santa Fe, and the snow was melting and freezing, I was looking down at the ground at ice and snow and trying to find interesting compositions. That’s when I spotted this little guy. Funny finding him in the high desert of New Mexico. (:
I’m still really busy, everyone, so hopefully, I’ll get back to visiting your blogs and answering comments soon. Thanks as always for all your feedback!
Shot with my 105mm macro lens at f/3.2.

I’d really like to see this big! Is there somewhere to see a larger version of this one Katie. (Btw ~ I think it would make a great large print too!)

That’s just awesome. I can definitely see the shark, but you really have quite an eye to catch these things. That’s something I really love about your photography – all those little details and hidden sights that most people would miss! Thanks to you, we get to see them too! 🙂 Love that shark in the melting ice!

Took me a while to see the shark – all I could see was a man on an elephant lifting a basket in the air (methinks I have been visiting the zoo too much recently).
There are great photography subjects in every aspect of Nature – one only has to ‘see’ beyond the obvious.

This is awesome Katie… When I saw it all I could think about was that cartoon that used to be on Saturday mornings, way long ago… Mr. Jaw, I think it was… he would pop up out of the water and say, “Gotcha!” LOL
