Saturday Silliness – The Tennis Player Is in Charge of the Military

Time for some more Saturday Silliness. (: To see the previous silly posts/ images, please click here.

This photo just makes me chuckle to myself when I see it. I was staying over at a house where the kids had a set of Legos. They were all military figures, except for this one woman in a tennis outfit. She just didn’t fit in with the military.

But I liked her. (:

So I set up the photo with her in a prominent position. To me she looks like she’s in charge. Totally out of place, but in charge. I like it. (:

Hope there is some silliness to your Saturday!

  1. So nice ahah very interesting composition, very well achieved. And definitly it creates a cute environment 🙂

This now made me miss my childhood legos 😛

  3. Wow, reminded me of my childhood days, when I used to be in charge. Haha. Thanks for sharing this one! Lovely and cute silliness, perhaps, no silliness at all. 😀 Great photo, btw, brilliant DoF. 🙂

  4. Although my children are grown and on to their own lives, their childhoods live on in buckets of Lego and Groovy Girls in our basement. You’ve inspired me to think of those buckets as possible “models” for my macro lessons this winter!

I love this shot – I actually thought it was a frying pan in the girl’s hand at first until I saw your title.

    • Thanks, Paula! I wish I had buckets of toys to photograph too. I love toy photos. 🙂

And I agree, I at first thought she was a cook with a frying pan until I took a macro shot and saw that it was a racket. 🙂

  5. She looks like she’d about to use her racquet “with extreme prejudice”!!

  6. I love this… she is sooo in charge! You just can’t help yourself can you Katie, the camera will out 😉 I was supposed to be sorting out stuff this morning…instead I was messing about with my camera !!

    • Thanks, Ice! 🙂 I’d love to make more photos like this, but I don’t have toys, etc. around me. I’ve been thinking to buy a sock monkey to take around and do photos with. 🙂 I need some kids to adopt me. So glad you really like this image. That is so wonderful to hear! 🙂

  20. I like the focus, it really draws your attention to the tennis player. Made a picture of lego too a while ago. It’s so cool you can make up a story with it 🙂 hope the girl will survive 😉
