Saturday Silliness – Wild Eyed Crazy Cat

Time for some more Saturday Silliness. (: To see the previous silly posts/ images, please click here.

———————–

Today my British Shorthair kitty makes another appearance on my blog (shhh, don’t tell my Boxer dog 🙂 ).  If you’d like to see other photos of my kitty (which have been some of the most popular images on my blog), you can click here, here, and here.

For this image, I had my camera in my hand and my cat was facing the sun, so I decided to snap some photos of his head. Luckily enough I caught this one with his tongue. It was the only photo I took that day, but it was enough.

Wild Eyed Crazy Cat…. (:

——————–

And I am so honored — the award-winning artist, Carolee Clark, does abstract paintings, and she has used several of my photos as inspiration for her art. Today, she is featuring a painting of this photo, and I am simply thrilled. I love my kitty and I think this painting is wonderful. You can see it here:  “That Was Tasty.” And if you’re interested, she does sell these, so you can have it for yourself.  My kitty would be proud. 🙂

Hope there is some silliness to your Saturday!

  16. Great shot, Katie. The detail in the eyes is wonderful and the color really stands out against the black. Having the sunlight on the face really creates a nice lighting for the shot.

  29. What an honor to have your photograph chosen by a painter. I was shocked one time when an artist friend wanted to use my photo for inspiration. It was an aerial shot of Japan with Fuji-san at the center. Couldn’t have asked for a better flight path. I hope you get many future requests.

    • Yes, it is an honor. I have had a good number of people wanting to paint my photos. I’m sure more have not asked though. They should ask first, and of course, I would be so honored. 🙂 So glad you had an artist wanting to paint one of your images also. 🙂
